ABOUT The Band
We are a local band from Northville, Michigan.
Our musicians are alumni of Northville High School's Instrumental Music Program, which has a tradition of excellence.
NEW BASELINE was formed in 2014 to share the appreciation of live jazz. We began as a group of high school students from Northville High School’s Instrumental Music Program, performing at Solo & Ensemble Festival and for National Honor Society credits. After graduating high school, we began expanding our business within and beyond Northville, performing at various venues. Our musicians have received professional-level education and experience from private music instructors in addition to Michael Rumbell, the Northville High School Band Director.
